Contextual Statement

The project that we had developed is the world of Virtual Reality. The reason that my team wants to discover the potential of this possibility because we want to surpass the limitation of the reality in the virtual world, and we want to put creative on this idea and create a new perspective of a different space. Virtual Reality is common technology that we can see often nowadays. The modern development of technologies is based on using a physical device, which is a device that the user needs to equip it on their head, the user can experience the three-dimension world through their eyes. It only can provide the Visual satisfaction to the user, but it cannot provide the experience of presence in mediated environments. According to (Caughill, 2017) “ A team of researchers has developed a new antenna that is 100 times smaller than current technology and it could allow for further development of better medical devices, finger phones, and brain-computer interfaces”. Technology is improving every day, we found that the latest development Northeastern University in Boston has developed a new antenna that is much smaller than the modern technology. It is a device that inputs to your brain, and connect to your brain, to insert your conscious into the virtual world. (Fujimoto, 2014). It can start a new revolution to the technological world, enhance the quality of life to another level. Through the evidence that we have found, there is possibility of the development that can be expanded to furthermore. Since we have found that there is a possibility for the human to enter to the virtual world in future, which there is a possibility that can think about. In future, when human enter the virtual world, what is the limitation that as a human being can do in the three-dimension world. Does virtual reality in the future is going to developing to a point which human can experience the 5 senses: Vision, audition, gustation, olfaction, somatosensorial in the 3D world. (May 2017)

 

Secondly, there are many imaginations though that human always wanted to achieve, such as teleportation. But there is the limitation to achieve these goals in the real world. But through the virtual world, we want to create the possibility to push the limit into a next level. The distance of traveling will be no longer exist, teleporting will be a virtual technology to solve this problem. We also want to show the weak point of living in a virtual, which even though you are living in a virtual world, it does not mean that you can escape from the reality. Furthermore, Virtual reality can be similar to a computer, which it can be interrupted by a real-life hacker, even when you enter in a Virtual world, but there are still potential that you will be harm by the interaction from others, it is a function that my team wants to emphasize in the project. In short, there will be a huge space that people can put their creativity in a virtual world.
