Studio 6 beginning
As everyone knows, Auckland transport having a really bad system that always costing traffic jam everywhere. So the team has brought up an idea that we want to solve the problem of it.
We have brainstormed an idea that we might able to achieve since our goal aims for the future, so we want to make it more creative and bigger, and using the future technology to apply what we are going to design. Our method is to design a whole new bus stop and a new design for a bus.
1. First, we want to design a new bus stop which can sense how many people in that bus stop, so the bus stop can send a signal to the bus, and the bus can change the route based on what signal it will receive from the bus stop.
2. Second, we want to design a new bus that allows the customer exchange the bus while the bus is moving, it can save a lot of time for people waiting and get on and get off the bus.
But to create these two ideas, it requires a lot of research and technique to make it real.
Different method
The feedback that we have got from the lecture is that we had narrow down the idea too early, we have already jumped to a step that we wanted to achieve, but we did not think through the problem that we might need to solve.
After the class today, my group think that we might change the method of how we are going to present our idea. Since Auckland is so bored, there are other places that have the potential to create a new CBD, so our group are going to research about where will be the potential CBD in the future
Research and direction
Timeline
We have gathered the research together and we found that Auckland south, west and North have the potential that will become a new CBD in the future. But we have also thought of recreating the city plan because from the research that we have found, we notice that University student are the biggest reason to cost traffic jam, so want to create an environment to relocate all the University.
But from the three new CBD that we have found, we think that if we relocate to that area, it will not solve the problem because it will create a further distance for other location. To solve that, we want to add a Floating around the CBD area and put all the Univesity in there, which is a University Island, and based on the research that we have found, it is a possible idea for creating a floating island.
So we have the research that supports our idea, we are starting to step further on which is focus on how are we going to present our ideas.
Cinema 4D is a way for us to present our idea, it is a program can create a city, and adding camera function in there, so we can create a city model in there, and use the camera to show our idea.
Little fun for design
Just making a train station for fun, it is like a roundabout, the train comes in, and it will keep moving, so the passenger can get off the train and immediately to find the train that they need to get on. It works like cable car station
